Buying Pre-Owned Luxury
Products, ordering and what buyers receive.
What does Luxury Reborn sell?
Luxury Reborn sells selected authenticated pre-owned designer bags, watches, jewellery, wallets, accessories, shoes and ready-to-wear pieces from accepted luxury brands.
Are products new or pre-owned?
Most items are pre-owned and individually listed. New means never used, in original unopened packaging and without visible signs of use, storage or handling. Unused means never carried, worn or used; packaging may have been opened or may be missing, and any storage or handling changes are disclosed. Read the condition grade, description, measurements, inclusions and photographs for the exact item before purchasing.
Are product photographs of the exact item?
Yes. Each product listing uses photographs of the exact item offered for sale.
Can I ask for more photographs or measurements?
Yes. Contact Luxury Reborn before purchasing if you need an additional photograph, measurement or clarification about the item.
Authenticity & Condition
How items are assessed and how wear is disclosed.
Are all Luxury Reborn items authentic?
Every item listed for sale is assessed and backed by the Luxury Reborn Authenticity Guarantee. If a returned item is confirmed not authentic through a reasonable assessment, you may choose a full refund of all money paid for the item. Luxury Reborn will also reimburse reasonable return delivery costs. No change of mind deduction applies.
Who authenticates Luxury Reborn items?
Every item undergoes Luxury Reborn assessment. Where a third party authentication service completes authentication, the exact listing identifies the recorded service. Each authentication service has its own supported brands and categories, so no service should be assumed for an item unless it is named on that listing. Any certificate of authenticity or verification record supplied is listed separately in Inclusions.
Does every item follow the same authentication process?
No. Every item is assessed by Luxury Reborn before listing. A third party authentication service may complete authentication when an appropriate service supports the item, and the exact listing identifies the recorded service where applicable. Buyers should not assume a certificate of authenticity or verification record is supplied unless Inclusions lists it.
How is pre-owned condition described?
Luxury Reborn uses condition grades alongside item-specific photographs and notes. Review the Condition Guide and exact listing for scratches, corner wear, patina, tarnishing, repairs or alterations.
Payments & Payment Plans
Checkout methods and paying over time.
What payment methods does Luxury Reborn accept?
The methods available for the exact order are displayed at checkout. Depending on the order and provider availability, these may include card or debit card payments, PayPal, bank transfer, Afterpay, Klarna or the Luxury Reborn Payment Plan. The LR Payment Plan itself uses bank transfer only.
Can I pay by bank transfer?
Yes, when bank transfer is displayed at checkout or confirmed for the order. Use the product SKU or SKUs as the payment description. Your items are reserved for two hours after checkout while you make payment. If the deadline falls between 8 pm and 9 am Melbourne time, it is extended to 9 am. Before the deadline, email us a payment screenshot if possible, or email to confirm you have paid. Once an LR Payment Plan deposit has cleared, your items remain reserved until your payment plan is completed. If we do not hear from you before the deadline, the reservation ends and the items return to stock. Items ship only after full payment has cleared. The LR Payment Plan also uses bank transfer. Read the payment terms.
How does the Luxury Reborn Payment Plan work?
Reserve eligible items with a 20% deposit by bank transfer. Checkout confirms whether the plan is available for your selected item or items. The remaining balance is due within eight weeks, followed by a fixed two week grace period. There is no minimum or maximum item price, and the order ships after full payment clears. Your items are reserved for two hours after checkout while you make the 20% deposit. If the deadline falls between 8 pm and 9 am Melbourne time, it is extended to 9 am. Before the deadline, email us a payment screenshot if possible, or email to confirm you have paid. Once the deposit has cleared, your items remain reserved until your payment plan is completed. If we do not hear from you before the deadline, the reservation ends and the items return to stock.
Can I cancel the LR Payment Plan before delivery?
Yes. All plan payments are refunded less a termination charge limited to documented reasonable costs and capped separately for each affected item at the lesser of AUD $100 or 5% of that item’s price. The full 20% deposit is not forfeited. If Luxury Reborn cancels or cannot supply the item, all plan payments are refunded with no charge.
What charge applies if I return an LR Payment Plan item after delivery?
For an eligible change of mind return, one handling and reinspection charge applies calculated separately for each returned item: the lesser of AUD $100 or 5% of that item’s price. The standard AUD $50 charge does not apply to a Payment Plan item. The pre-delivery termination charge is not added, and the LR plan has no third-party payment-processing deduction because it uses bank transfer.
Can I use Afterpay or Klarna?
Afterpay or Klarna may be selected only when displayed for the exact order at checkout. Luxury Reborn determines where a method is offered, and the provider then decides customer approval, available spend and the payment schedule.
Can Luxury Reborn change my provider limit?
Afterpay and Klarna decide each buyer’s approval and spending limit. Luxury Reborn cannot change their decision.
Shipping & Delivery
Australia-wide parcel security, tracking and support, plus selected international delivery information.
Does Luxury Reborn ship across Australia?
Yes. Luxury Reborn delivers to metropolitan, regional and remote Australian addresses, subject to carrier service availability.
Is shipping free Australia wide?
Yes. Luxury Reborn provides free tracked shipping Australia wide for buyer orders. Tracking is included and a signature is requested. Choose a secure delivery address and follow the tracking closely. If an eligible purchase is returned because the buyer changed their mind, the actual cost paid by Luxury Reborn to deliver the item to the buyer is recovered under the published Returns Policy. Read the Shipping & Delivery guide.
Are buyer parcels tracked, and is shipping cover available?
Tracking is included for Australian buyer orders and a signature is requested. Choose a secure delivery address and follow the tracking closely. Optional shipping cover can be selected at checkout where available, with the current fee shown before payment. Once the covered delivery to you has been completed, that fee is not refunded if you later return the item because you changed your mind. Your legal rights are not affected.
How long does Australian delivery take?
Orders are generally dispatched within one to three business days after payment clears. Metro delivery commonly takes about two to four business days after dispatch, while regional and remote delivery can take longer.
Does Luxury Reborn offer international shipping?
Shipping to supported international destinations outside the US is A$110 per order. Standard US shipping is A$85 plus 10% of the product amount after promotions, subject to any item specific rate shown at checkout. Destination eligibility and delivery charges are confirmed at checkout, and estimated transit times are shown or confirmed for the order. US delivery and import fees are combined in one shipping charge. All US import duties, taxes and clearance charges are included in the checkout total, with no additional import charges on delivery. For other international destinations, the recipient is responsible for applicable local import charges. Read the international shipping requirements.
Returns & Buyer Protection
Eligible returns, exclusions and concerns beyond change of mind.
What is the Luxury Reborn return period?
Eligible full-price bags, wallets and selected accessories may qualify. Contact Luxury Reborn and start the request within seven calendar days after carrier-recorded delivery. The item does not need to reach Luxury Reborn within those seven days. Watches, jewellery, shoes, ready-to-wear and items sold at a reduced price are excluded. These exclusions do not limit rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
How do I request a return?
Contact Luxury Reborn before sending anything back. Provide your order number, the item and the reason for the request, then dispatch the authorised return by the deadline and method stated in the written return instructions.
Can I cancel a fully paid order before dispatch?
Luxury Reborn may approve a voluntary buyer cancellation before the carrier accepts the parcel. The refund is the amount paid less the fixed AUD $25 cancellation administration charge. Some card and other payment services keep their original processing charge when a transaction is refunded. If that occurs, only the exact amount the service does not return to Luxury Reborn is also deducted. Luxury Reborn does not retain that amount. Direct bank transfer has no payment processing deduction. Before carrier acceptance, no delivery to the buyer, return delivery, AUD $50 handling and reinspection or reassessment by an authentication service applies. LR Payment Plan cancellations follow their separate terms. If Luxury Reborn cancels or cannot fulfil the order, the amount paid is refunded in full and no buyer cancellation charge applies.
What condition must a change of mind return be in?
The item must remain in the condition received, with all supplied packaging and listed inclusions, and with any Luxury Reborn tag or seal still attached and unaltered where supplied. These conditions apply only to change of mind returns and do not remove your legal rights if there is a genuine problem with the item.
What if the item is damaged after delivery?
A buyer-caused change can make a change of mind return ineligible, in which case the item may be returned to the buyer at their cost. A separate original defect or delivery concern is still assessed on its facts, including whether it caused the later damage.
What is deducted from a change of mind refund?
An approved voluntary change of mind refund starts with the item amount paid. For a standard purchase, Luxury Reborn deducts the fixed AUD $50 handling and reinspection charge. For an LR Payment Plan item, that charge is the lesser of AUD $100 or 5% of the item’s price. Luxury Reborn also deducts the actual cost of delivering the item to the buyer, the actual return delivery cost if Luxury Reborn pays it and the actual invoiced cost of any reassessment by an authentication service that is reasonably required and performed after the item leaves Luxury Reborn custody. If the payment provider does not return its original processing fee, only that exact amount is deducted. Luxury Reborn does not retain that amount. Direct bank transfer has no payment processing deduction. Optional shipping cover is not refunded after the covered delivery to the buyer is completed. The calculation is itemised. These deductions apply only to an approved voluntary change of mind return and do not limit rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
What if I have an authenticity, delivery-damage or not-as-described concern?
Contact Luxury Reborn promptly and identify the specific concern. Reporting it starts an assessment against the item, archived listing and dispatch evidence; it does not automatically determine the return category. A confirmed consumer-guarantee issue receives the remedy required by law without change of mind deductions.
Selling & Consignment
Quotes and selling options for sellers in Australia and New Zealand, with our main focus on Australia.
Which item details do I need to provide for an accurate quote?
To help us prepare an accurate quote, provide the brand, model/style, size, colour and current condition. Describe any odour, wear and tear, damage, restoration, recolouring, repairs, alterations or replacement parts. Include the year or approximate age and original inclusions, if known. Tell us if you are unsure of a detail rather than guessing.
Which photos are required for a quote?
To provide a quote, we need clear photos of the front, back, interior (where applicable), serial number/date code or other identifying details (where present), and any wear and tear. Include close-ups of marks, damage and repairs. If an identifying detail is missing or unreadable, tell us in your submission.
How do I sell or consign a luxury item?
Complete the secure online quote form with item details and the required photos: front, back, interior where applicable, serial number/date code or other identifying details where present, and any wear and tear, including close-ups of damage or repairs. Luxury Reborn assesses the brand, exact model, condition, inclusions and current Australian demand before explaining the available option or options.
What is the difference between Instant Payout and Consignment?
Instant Payout is a direct purchase by Luxury Reborn after the item passes the required checks. Consignment means Luxury Reborn markets an approved item on the owner’s behalf. For Consignment, Luxury Reborn markets and sells your approved item on your behalf, then processes your agreed payout after the completed sale and buyer return period. Compare the selling options.
Will I receive both Instant Payout and Consignment?
An eligible request may receive both options, one suitable option or no option after assessment. The outcome depends on the item and current market considerations.
How does Luxury Reborn value my item?
Each item is assessed individually using its brand, exact model and specification, age, condition, authenticity considerations, inclusions, relevant completed-sale evidence and current Australian demand. An advertised asking price alone does not establish value. See what affects a seller quote.
Are seller quote amounts net of fees?
The Instant Payout figure is a net direct offer. Consignment is available only when the expected final sale price is at least AUD $350. Under the standard schedule for Consignment Agreements entered into or revised from the effective date shown in the current Terms and Conditions, Luxury Reborn deducts a flat AUD $150 fee when the final sale price is from AUD $350 to AUD $750 inclusive. You receive the rest of the sale price. Your item-specific Consignment communication shows the recommended selling price and estimated seller payout after the agreed fees. Review payout and consignment information.
Are preliminary quotes subject to physical inspection?
Yes. An online quote or range remains subject to receipt, physical inspection, authentication, condition and inclusion review, and current market assessment. It may be revised or declined if the item differs from the submitted information or photographs. Read the seller assessment terms.
What costs apply if a seller item is assessed non-authentic?
The standard fee is AUD $150 including GST. The fee is AUD $250 including GST for all watches and selected Hermès items. It includes assessment, administration and standard domestic return delivery with tracking, for which a signature is requested. Optional return shipping cover is extra. The exact applicable fee is confirmed in writing before the item is sent. Read the seller assessment and return cost schedule.
What happens if a seller assessment is inconclusive or Luxury Reborn chooses not to proceed?
An inconclusive result is not a non-authentic finding. No fee applies to an inconclusive result or where an accurately submitted item is declined only because Luxury Reborn chooses not to proceed. For a return within Australia, Luxury Reborn contributes the actual standard return cost up to AUD $40; this is not a credit. The seller pays any excess and selected shipping cover. A New Zealand seller pays the actual return delivery to New Zealand, selected shipping cover and applicable customs or duties. Read every seller assessment outcome.
What items are not accepted, and how are repairs assessed?
Luxury Reborn does not accept non-authentic items, mould or severe damage. Repairs, alterations, repainting, other colour restoration and replacement parts must be disclosed in the quote form before an item is sent to us. Brand authorised repairs and minor third party work, including small areas of repainting, may be considered case by case following review. We may decline an item based on the submitted details or photographs before it is sent to us, with no charge to the seller. We generally cannot accept extensive repainting, structural alterations, concealed damage or non-brand replacement parts that change component originality, fall outside an authentication service’s requirements or prevent a specialist from reaching a reliable conclusion. If important item information in the submission is inaccurate or omitted, we may issue an updated quote. If the seller accepts it and the item proceeds, no AUD $25 administration fee applies. If the seller rejects it, or Luxury Reborn decides not to proceed because of the inaccurate or omitted information, the seller is charged the AUD $25 administration fee, any actual inbound delivery paid by Luxury Reborn, actual return delivery and any selected return shipping cover. If an item is invited for physical assessment, final acceptance and value remain subject to inspection, authentication and confirmation that it matches the submission. Review what Luxury Reborn accepts.
Can repairs or repainting reduce my quote or affect authentication?
Yes, in most cases. Luxury Reborn normally values a repaired, repainted, recoloured or materially restored bag below an otherwise comparable bag that retains its original materials and finish. The effect varies according to what was done, how extensive the work was, who completed it, the quality of the work, available records, current condition, buyer demand and whether an authentication service can reach a reliable conclusion. Careful treatment may improve a damaged bag’s condition or presentation, but it does not erase the repair history. Extensive work or replacement components can also make a bag unacceptable to Luxury Reborn. If no repair, repainting, recolouring or material restoration occurred, restoration has no effect on the quote, although the exact model, condition, demand and other market factors still do. No fixed adjustment applies. Request an assessment before changing the bag where practical. Read how repair history affects condition and value.
How quickly is Instant Payout paid?
For most categories, once all required inspection and authentication are complete and an Instant Payout is finally approved, payment is usually processed within 24 hours and may take up to 48 hours. Watches are not covered by this usual payment processing period. Selected jewellery may also require an individual approval and payment timeframe after specialist checks. We will confirm the expected timeframe after receipt.
When is a Consignment payout processed?
With Consignment, Luxury Reborn prepares, photographs, lists and markets your approved item, manages buyer enquiries and completes the sale on your behalf. The seven-calendar-day return-request period starts when buyer delivery is recorded. Luxury Reborn processes your agreed payout after the full period has ended, provided buyer funds have cleared and no return or payment dispute is open. An opened return pauses payout until the item is received back, assessed and the return is resolved. Luxury Reborn then agrees the next option with you, such as continued listing, return of the item or a fresh Instant Payout offer; no new price or payout is imposed without agreement.
Can I withdraw an item after active Consignment begins?
Consignments have an initial 90-day listing term, with the start and end dates recorded in your signed item schedule. If you request withdrawal after your item is accepted, authenticated and actively listed but before that initial term ends, an AUD $100 early withdrawal fee per item applies, including standard return shipping to you. No additional standard return postage is charged for that early withdrawal. Any optional shipping cover you choose is separate and must be agreed before booking. No early withdrawal fee applies after the initial 90-day term, if Luxury Reborn ends the consignment, or where applicable law requires a different outcome. Return after the initial term follows the seller shipping terms. An item cannot be withdrawn while an existing buyer reservation or commitment, return, payment dispute or chargeback requires it to remain available. Luxury Reborn will explain the reason for a hold and what must happen before it can be released. Read the active Consignment withdrawal terms.
Can I sell from outside Melbourne?
Yes. Luxury Reborn mainly supports sellers throughout Australia and also accepts sellers in New Zealand. Seller submissions from every other country are not accepted. Shipping instructions are provided after you accept an available option.
Do I need a receipt to sell or authenticate my item?
No. A receipt is not required to sell or authenticate an item. Original inclusions can support provenance, completeness, buyer confidence and the assessment, but authentication is based on the item. An invoice cannot replace a missing tag, marking, component or other item-level evidence that an authentication service needs in order to reach a conclusion. An authentication service declining or being unable to assess an item is not, by itself, a finding that the item is counterfeit. For seller submissions, any preliminary quote may change after physical assessment if the item or its inclusions differ from the information or photographs submitted.
