Cartier Jewellery and Watches

Cartier collections and the details that identify them

Cartier jewellery and watches require different condition checks. Identify the exact collection, reference, size and material before comparing wear, completeness or demand.

LOVE

LOVE bracelets vary by model, metal, size and diamond setting. Inspect the screw motif, closure, edges, engraving, surface finish and any model-specific screwdriver supplied with the piece.

Juste un Clou

Juste un Clou jewellery follows a curved nail form. Record the exact bracelet or ring model, metal, size and diamond setting, then inspect the head, tip, hinge or opening and polished surfaces.

Trinity

The classic Trinity design uses three interlocking bands in yellow, rose and white gold. Check the exact model, ring or bracelet size, diamond setting where present, engraving and free movement between bands.

Panthère de Cartier

Panthère de Cartier watches are recognised by a flexible link bracelet and compact case proportions. Reference, size, metal, dial, crown, bracelet links, clasp and running condition should be recorded.

Tank

Tank watches share a rectangular form with parallel brancards, but the collection includes many distinct lines and movements. Identify the exact reference, case, dial, crown, strap or bracelet and service context.

Santos de Cartier

Santos de Cartier watches use a square bezel with visible screws and appear in multiple sizes and metals. Inspect the bezel, crown, dial, bracelet, clasp and any compatible strap supplied with the reference.

Cartier Resale Categories

Cartier jewellery and watches considered for assessment

Selected Cartier jewellery and watches.

  • Selected bracelets, rings, necklaces, earrings and watches may be submitted when the exact model and current demand support resale.
  • Jewellery assessment focuses on metal, stones, size, engravings, closures and alteration history. Watch assessment also considers reference, movement, dial, case, bracelet and service history.
  • Specialist testing may be required before an offer is confirmed. Boxes, certificates, service papers and model-specific tools are recorded as inclusions. Original unopened packaging is required for the New grade; other inclusions do not establish physical condition.

Cartier Value Factors

Cartier details that affect condition and resale confidence

Jewellery and watches should be compared within the correct Cartier collection, material, size and reference rather than grouped under the brand name alone.

Collection, reference and size

LOVE, Juste un Clou, Trinity, Panthère, Tank and Santos have distinct formats. Bracelet or ring size and watch reference should match the comparable piece.

Metal, stones and finish

Yellow, rose and white gold, steel and diamond-set versions attract different audiences. Scratches, dents, stone security and the consistency of polished or brushed surfaces are assessed carefully.

Engraving, hallmarks and identifiers

Photograph all visible engravings, hallmarks and serial or reference details in focus. These are checked with construction and materials but do not prove authenticity by themselves.

Closures, links and moving parts

Bracelet screws, hinges, clasps, watch links and crowns should operate correctly. Missing components, stiffness, looseness or non-brand replacements must be disclosed.

Watch movement and service

Running condition, timekeeping, functions and known service history can require specialist inspection. Disclose any known servicing, repairs and replacement parts.

Resizing, alterations and inclusions

Disclose engraving, resizing, soldering, replaced stones, links or parts. List the exact box, certificate, receipt, service papers, spare links, straps or tools supplied.

Cartier Guide FAQs

Cartier jewellery and watch assessment questions

How does assessing a Cartier LOVE bracelet differ from assessing a Cartier Tank watch?

A LOVE bracelet assessment centres on the exact model, size, metal, screw construction, fit, engravings, hallmarks, finish and any alterations. A Tank watch also requires reference, dial, case, crown, movement, timekeeping, strap or bracelet and service history to be considered.

Which close photographs are useful for Cartier jewellery and watches?

For jewellery, show the full piece, closure, hinges, screw details, stone settings, engravings and hallmarks. For watches, also show the dial, crown, bezel, case sides, case back, bracelet or strap, clasp and any service marks or visible damage.

Do Cartier reference numbers, hallmarks or serial details prove authenticity?

No. They provide useful context and must be consistent with the item, but construction, materials, weight, finishing, stones, movement where relevant and provenance are assessed together.

Should resizing, engraving, polishing or replacement parts be disclosed?

Yes. Disclose all known alterations, repairs, resizing, engraving, polishing and replacement stones or components in the quote form. We assess this work case by case and may decline the item before it is sent, with no charge to the seller. If important item information in the submission is inaccurate or omitted, we may issue an updated quote. If the seller accepts it and the item proceeds, no AUD $25 administration fee applies. If the seller rejects it, or Luxury Reborn decides not to proceed because of the inaccurate or omitted information, the seller is charged the AUD $25 administration fee, any actual inbound delivery paid by Luxury Reborn, actual return delivery and any selected return shipping cover. If invited, final acceptance remains subject to physical inspection.

Why can a Cartier watch assessment take longer than a jewellery assessment?

A watch may require specialist movement, timekeeping and component checks in addition to external reference and condition review. Jewellery assessment instead focuses on metal, stones, construction, closures and alteration history, so the expected pathway and timing can differ.
