Luxury Reborn Legal Terms
Terms & Conditions
These terms explain the rules for using the Luxury Reborn website, purchasing authenticated pre-owned luxury items, using payment options, submitting seller quotes and interacting with Luxury Reborn services in Australia.
1. About these terms
1.1 This version applies from the effective date shown above. Earlier orders, payment plans and seller agreements keep the terms accepted for that transaction unless a lawful change is separately agreed.
1.2 These Terms and Conditions apply when you access the Luxury Reborn website, create an account, purchase an item, submit a selling quote, use a payment option or communicate with Luxury Reborn.
1.3 Luxury Reborn operates as an Australian online luxury resale business. References to "Luxury Reborn", "we", "us" or "our" mean Luxury Reborn, ABN 23 660 080 760.
1.4 By using this website or placing an order, you agree to these terms, the Privacy Policy, the Returns Policy, the Authenticity Guarantee and any payment-plan or seller terms that apply to your transaction.
2. Product listings and pre-owned condition
2.1 In these terms, a buyer purchases an item and a seller submits an item for Instant Payout or Consignment. Instant Payout is a purchase by Luxury Reborn from the seller. Under Consignment, Luxury Reborn arranges a sale on the owner’s behalf under the item-specific agreement. An unpaid reservation is a temporary stock hold; it is not cleared payment. A payment-verification hold allows timely payment evidence to be checked. A return or dispute hold keeps an affected item or payout on hold while the identified return or dispute is resolved.
2.2 Luxury Reborn sells pre-owned luxury items. Unless expressly stated otherwise, items are not new and may show wear consistent with age, use, storage, restoration or prior ownership.
2.3 Each product listing may include brand, model, colour, material, condition, inclusions, photographs, authentication information, price, return eligibility and other item-specific details. Buyers should review all available information before purchasing.
2.4 Product listings show the actual item offered for sale. Editorial images used in guides, banners or educational pages are separate from product-listing photographs.
2.5 Colours, textures and scale can vary depending on screen settings, lighting and photography. Contact Luxury Reborn before purchase if you require additional information.
2.6 Pre-owned items can show fine surface wear consistent with their published condition grade. Not every microscopic trace is separately itemised, and a condition grade is never used to conceal a material issue. The significance of a reported difference is assessed case by case by its nature, size, location, visibility, effect on use or value, the item's age and price, written disclosures and exact-item photographs.
2.7 Odour perception can vary between people and environments. Luxury Reborn assesses for noticeable smoke, musty or mould-related, fragrance, storage, leather and other material odours and discloses those identified. A reported scent is assessed against the listing, dispatch record and returned item; it is neither automatically rejected nor automatically treated as not as described.
3. Availability and reservations
3.1 Many Luxury Reborn items are unique. Adding an item to a cart or wishlist does not reserve it. An item is reserved only when the checkout or payment-plan reservation process is completed.
3.2 Bank transfer and LR Payment Plan items are reserved for two hours after checkout while you make payment. If the deadline falls between 8 pm and 9 am Melbourne time, it is extended to 9 am. Before the deadline, email us a payment screenshot if possible, or email to confirm you have paid. Once an LR Payment Plan deposit has cleared, your items remain reserved until your payment plan is completed. If we do not hear from you before the deadline, the reservation ends and the items return to stock. Items ship only after full payment has cleared.
3.3 Luxury Reborn may remove, reserve, correct or withdraw a listing at any time where stock, pricing, authenticity, condition or operational information requires review.
4. Pricing, taxes and payment
4.1 Prices are shown in Australian dollars unless stated otherwise. The displayed AUD product price applies worldwide. Included taxes are shown where applicable. US orders include all import duties, taxes and clearance charges in the checkout total, with no additional import charges payable by the customer on delivery. Buyers in other international destinations remain responsible for applicable local import charges.
4.2 Available payment methods are displayed at checkout. These may include card or debit card payments, PayPal, bank transfer, Afterpay, Klarna and the Luxury Reborn Payment Plan, depending on the order and payment provider availability.
4.3 Luxury Reborn determines which methods are offered for an order. Afterpay, Klarna, PayPal and card providers make their own approval, risk and customer decisions. Luxury Reborn cannot change your Afterpay or Klarna approval or spending limit and cannot guarantee approval by any payment provider.
5. Luxury Reborn Payment Plan
5.1 The Luxury Reborn Payment Plan is a Luxury Reborn arrangement for one or more eligible items when offered at checkout, limited to one unit of each product. It is separate from Afterpay and Klarna and uses a 20% deposit by bank transfer. Use the product SKU or SKUs as the payment description. Other payment methods are unavailable while this plan is selected.
5.2 The remaining balance is due within eight weeks from the order date. A fixed two week grace period follows. Checkout confirms whether the plan is available for the item or items in your order.
5.3 Each item remains reserved while the plan remains in good standing and the order is dispatched only after the full balance has cleared. The buyer may cancel the plan at any time before delivery by contacting Luxury Reborn.
5.4 A buyer cancellation before delivery receives a refund of all plan payments less a payment-plan termination charge limited to documented reasonable costs and capped separately for each affected item at the lesser of AUD $100 or 5% of the item price shown when the plan was entered. Any charge must not exceed the reasonable costs actually incurred because of that plan; shared costs are not charged twice. Luxury Reborn does not forfeit or retain the full 20% deposit.
5.5 Luxury Reborn may cancel a plan before delivery only if you breach the agreement, we stop trading, or the item becomes unavailable for reasons beyond our control. Choosing to withdraw an item from sale is not a reason to cancel the plan. If Luxury Reborn cancels the plan or cannot supply the item, all plan payments are refunded and no termination charge applies. After delivery, an eligible change-of-mind return uses one handling and reinspection charge equal to the lesser of AUD $100 or 5% of that plan item’s price. This is a separate return charge; the before-delivery termination charge is limited to documented reasonable costs and its per-item ceiling. The standard AUD $50 handling charge does not apply to an LR Payment Plan item, the pre-delivery and post-delivery charges are never combined, and no third-party payment-processing fee applies because the LR plan uses bank transfer.
5.6 Nothing in this section limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where the law requires a full refund or another outcome, the payment-plan termination charge does not apply.
6. Order checks and cancellation
6.1 Luxury Reborn may review orders for fraud, payment risk, stock availability, delivery issues, obvious errors or compliance concerns. We may request information before processing an order.
6.2 Luxury Reborn may cancel or refuse an order where payment cannot be verified, fraud checks fail, stock is unavailable, there is an obvious listing error, delivery cannot be completed, or the transaction cannot lawfully proceed.
6.3 For a fully paid purchase that is not an LR Payment Plan, Luxury Reborn may approve a buyer's voluntary cancellation before the parcel is accepted by the carrier. For orders placed on or after the effective date shown above, the refund is the amount paid less one fixed AUD $25 cancellation administration charge. Some card and other payment services keep their original processing charge when a transaction is refunded. If that occurs, only the exact amount the service does not return to Luxury Reborn is also deducted. Luxury Reborn does not retain that amount. Direct bank transfer has no payment processing deduction. Before carrier acceptance, no delivery to the buyer, return delivery, AUD $50 handling and reinspection or reassessment by an authentication service applies.
6.4 After the carrier accepts the parcel, the order is treated as dispatched. The buyer must not request an unauthorised carrier redirection. An eligible voluntary return then follows the published Returns Policy. If Luxury Reborn cancels or cannot fulfil an order, Luxury Reborn provides the full refund required without a buyer-cancellation charge.
7. Shipping and delivery
7.1 Luxury Reborn provides free tracked shipping Australia wide for buyer orders. Tracking is included and a signature is requested. Choose a secure delivery address and follow the tracking closely. For buyer items priced at AUD $1,000 or less, Luxury Reborn pays for eligible shipping cover. For items priced above AUD $1,000, cover is optional at the cost of the buyer. Contact Luxury Reborn before payment to confirm available cover, its limits and price for the exact item. Carrier conditions apply. Choosing not to buy cover does not remove rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. If an eligible purchase is returned voluntarily for change of mind, the actual cost paid by Luxury Reborn to deliver the item to the buyer is recovered under the published Returns Policy.
7.2 Orders are generally dispatched within one to three business days after payment clears. Metro delivery commonly takes about two to four business days after dispatch, while regional and remote delivery can take longer. Processing and delivery estimates are not guarantees and may be affected by payment clearance, carrier delays, weekends, public holidays, address issues or regional routes.
7.3 Customers must provide accurate billing and delivery details. For card, PayPal, Afterpay and Klarna orders, the billing and delivery addresses may differ, but Luxury Reborn ships only to the delivery address recorded on the approved payment. That delivery address cannot be changed or redirected after payment. If it is wrong, contact Luxury Reborn before carrier acceptance to request cancellation and place a new order; the approved buyer-cancellation costs in section 6 apply. For Direct Bank Transfer or the LR Payment Plan, contact Luxury Reborn immediately before dispatch if the submitted delivery address is incorrect.
7.4 Shipping to supported international destinations outside the US is A$110 per order. Standard US shipping is A$85 plus 10% of the product amount after promotions, subject to any item specific rate shown at checkout. Destination eligibility and delivery charges are confirmed at checkout, and estimated transit times are shown or confirmed for the order. US shipping combines delivery and import fees into one charge. The 10% allowance excludes shipping and other fees. Luxury Reborn pays all US import duties, taxes and clearance charges, including any amount above the import allowance, so US customers will not be asked to pay additional import charges on delivery. For an LR Payment Plan, shipping is calculated using the full product amount after promotions, subject to any item specific delivery rate, and is paid with the initial payment. Recipients in other international destinations remain responsible for applicable local import charges and customs obligations.
8. Returns and Australian Consumer Law
8.1 Eligible full-price bags, wallets and selected accessories may qualify for a change-of-mind return. The buyer must contact Luxury Reborn and start the return request within seven calendar days after carrier-recorded delivery. This is the request deadline, not the deadline for the returned parcel to reach Luxury Reborn. After authorisation, the buyer must dispatch the item by the deadline and method stated in the written return instructions. Watches, jewellery, shoes, ready-to-wear and items sold at a reduced price are excluded from change-of-mind returns. A sale item means an item offered at a reduced price. These exclusions do not limit rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
8.2 For an approved voluntary change-of-mind return, the refund starts with the item amount actually paid. For a standard purchase, Luxury Reborn deducts a fixed AUD $50 handling and reinspection charge. For an LR Payment Plan item, that fixed charge is replaced by one item specific handling and reinspection charge equal to the lesser of AUD $100 or 5% of that item’s price. This is calculated separately for each returned plan item and never combined with a before-delivery charge; a before-delivery termination charge is limited to documented reasonable costs and its per-item ceiling. Luxury Reborn also deducts: (a) the actual cost paid to deliver the item to the buyer; (b) the actual return delivery and shipping cover cost if Luxury Reborn supplies or pays for the label and cover; and (c) the actual invoiced cost of any reassessment by an authentication service reasonably required and performed because the item left Luxury Reborn custody. The original authentication cost before sale is not charged again. Any separately purchased optional shipping cover fee covers the completed delivery to the buyer and is not refunded on a voluntary change of mind return.
8.3 Some card and other payment services keep their original processing charge when a transaction is refunded. If that occurs, only the exact amount the service does not return to Luxury Reborn is also deducted. Luxury Reborn does not retain that amount. Direct bank transfer has no payment processing deduction. If the buyer pays the return carrier directly, no return delivery amount is deducted again. No cost is charged twice, and actual costs are included only when incurred. The proposed calculation is itemised before the authorised return is sent and confirmed after inspection. These return conditions apply to orders placed on or after the effective date shown above. Earlier orders remain subject to the terms recorded when the order was placed.
8.4 A buyer's report of an authenticity, delivery-damage, condition or listing concern is a request for assessment, not an automatic determination of the return category or remedy. Luxury Reborn may request information reasonably necessary to assess the concern and may inspect the goods before providing a remedy. The assessment may compare the item with its archived listing, exact-item photographs, condition report, identifiers, inclusions and dispatch records.
8.5 If a consumer guarantee failure is established, the outcome required by law applies, change of mind deductions do not apply and reasonable return costs are reimbursed as required by law. If no failure is found and the buyer still wishes to return the item, a voluntary return may proceed only if it remains eligible. Before arranging collection for assessment, Luxury Reborn will identify any reasonable collection, inspection or authentication service cost that could apply if no problem is found.
8.6 A voluntary change-of-mind return must come back in the condition received. If inspection identifies buyer-caused wear, use, cleaning, fragrance, alteration, repair, missing parts or damage, Luxury Reborn may decline the voluntary return and send the item back at the buyer's cost. Luxury Reborn may offer a partial-refund settlement in writing after inspection but is not required to accept a damaged item under the voluntary policy.
8.7 The buyer must follow authorised packing and return shipping cover instructions. If a voluntary return is damaged in transit, Luxury Reborn may decline the return after documenting the parcel and item. Responsibility for a carrier cover claim is determined by who arranged the shipment, the instructions followed and the available packing and transit evidence.
8.8 Damage occurring after delivery for reasons unrelated to the item's state or condition when supplied may affect the buyer's right to reject the goods. Any claimed original defect, delivery damage or other consumer-guarantee issue is assessed separately, including whether the later damage was caused by or connected with that issue.
8.9 A good-faith report is not treated as wrongdoing merely because the concern is not confirmed. This assessment process does not limit evidence a buyer may provide or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
8.10 Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including consumer guarantees that apply to eligible transactions.
8.11 Return requests must follow the published process. Do not send an item back without approval and return instructions.
9. Authenticity guarantee
9.1 Luxury Reborn assesses every item before sale. Where a third party authentication service completes authentication, the exact product listing identifies the recorded service. A certificate of authenticity or verification record is supplied only when it is listed in Inclusions for that item.
9.2 If a buyer believes an item purchased from Luxury Reborn is not authentic, they should contact Luxury Reborn promptly and follow the authenticity claim process. Luxury Reborn may arrange its own assessment or review by an appropriate authentication service. Buyers may also provide relevant evidence, and nothing in this process restricts Australian Consumer Law rights.
9.3 If a returned item is confirmed not authentic through a reasonable assessment, the buyer may choose a full refund under the Authenticity Guarantee. Luxury Reborn will return all money paid for the item through the original payment method, where available, or another agreed monetary method, and reimburse reasonable return delivery costs. No change-of-mind charge or deduction applies. This promise is in addition to, and does not limit, any rights or options available under the Australian Consumer Law, including a replacement where reasonably available.
10. Condition, inclusions and buyer responsibility
10.1 Condition grades, inclusions and wear disclosures are based on the item presented for sale. Buyers should review photographs, descriptions, measurements and return eligibility before purchasing.
10.2 Original brand receipts, boxes, dust bags, cards, service records or other inclusions are listed where supplied. Where a third party authentication service completes authentication, the product page’s Authenticity Guarantee panel identifies the recorded service. Inclusions states whether a certificate of authenticity or verification record is supplied; buyers should not assume one is included unless it is listed there. A certificate or verification record from an authentication service is not represented as issued or endorsed by the original brand unless the listing expressly states otherwise.
11. Seller quotes and item assessment
11.1 Seller quote submissions are reviewed individually. Luxury Reborn may offer Instant Payout, Consignment, both options or no option, depending on the item, brand, condition, authenticity risk, demand and market history.
11.2 Luxury Reborn accepts seller submissions only from Australia and New Zealand, with its main focus on Australian sellers. Eligible items from either country may be considered for Instant Payout, Consignment or both options. Seller submissions from every other country are not accepted. Wait for a written quote and shipping instructions before sending an item.
11.3 Any initial quote, payout range or selling estimate is subject to final inspection, authentication, condition review, inclusion review and market assessment after the item is received.
11.4 Watches, jewellery and other items may require specialist or external assessment, movement inspection, gemstone analysis or precious metal testing. These checks can extend the time required before an item is accepted, listed or approved for Instant Payout. Any timeframe provided is an estimate and may be updated after physical inspection.
11.5 Sellers must confirm that, to the best of their knowledge, the item is authentic and that they are authorised to sell it. Luxury Reborn may decline, return or refuse items that cannot be accepted.
11.6 Disclose cleaning or treatment that materially changes the item’s colour, finish, structure or components. Ordinary routine care that leaves these unchanged does not need to be described as restoration. Repairs, alterations, repainting, other colour restoration and replacement parts must be disclosed in the quote form before an item is sent to us. Brand authorised repairs and minor third party work, including small areas of repainting, may be considered case by case following review. Luxury Reborn may decline an item based on the submitted details or photographs before it is sent to us, with no charge to the seller. Luxury Reborn generally cannot accept extensive repainting, structural alterations, concealed damage or non brand replacement parts that affect the item’s originality or authentication. Once the seller has shipped the item and Luxury Reborn has received and physically inspected it, Luxury Reborn compares the item with the submitted description, photographs and other information. If important item information is inaccurate or omitted, Luxury Reborn may issue an updated quote. If the seller accepts the revised quote and the item proceeds, no AUD $25 administration fee applies. If the seller rejects the revised quote, or Luxury Reborn decides not to proceed because of the inaccurate or omitted information, the seller is charged the AUD $25 administration fee, any actual delivery to Luxury Reborn paid by us, actual return delivery and any selected return shipping cover. If an item is invited for physical assessment, final acceptance and value remain subject to inspection, authentication and confirmation that it matches the submission.
11.7 Disclosed repairs, repainting, restoration and replacement parts may reduce the quote and expected resale value. Luxury Reborn assesses the item in its current altered condition rather than as a comparable item in original condition. Third party work may also obscure original materials, construction or identifying details and prevent a specialist from reaching a reliable conclusion. If authenticity cannot be established to Luxury Reborn’s required standard, the item cannot be accepted for sale.
11.8 Costs if an item is assessed non-authentic
11.8.1 The quote form displays the fee tier indicated by the submitted item details. If a Hermès model cannot be reliably classified from those details, the free quote request remains submittable, but the exact fee must be manually classified and acknowledged in writing before the item is sent. If corrected item details change the fee tier, Luxury Reborn must confirm the revised exact fee and obtain fresh written acknowledgement before shipment or proceeding. A seller must not send an item until Luxury Reborn provides written shipping instructions and confirms the applicable item-specific terms.
11.8.2 The standard non-authentic fee is AUD $150 including GST. The non-authentic fee is AUD $250 including GST for all watches and selected Hermès items. The applicable fee includes assessment, administration and standard domestic return delivery with tracking, for which a signature is requested. Optional return shipping cover is extra.
11.8.3 For a New Zealand seller, the fixed fee includes standard return delivery within Australia only. The seller pays the actual return delivery to New Zealand, selected shipping cover and any applicable customs, duties or refused delivery costs.
11.8.4 The seller-cost schedule applies to physical submissions authorised on or after the effective date shown above. The amount and outcome terms confirmed for the exact item govern the assessment.
- 11.8.5 Accepted and proceeding: assessment costs are waived when the item proceeds through the agreed Instant Payout or Consignment pathway.
- 11.8.6 Assessed non-authentic: the confirmed AUD $150 or AUD $250 fee applies. It includes assessment, administration and standard domestic return delivery with tracking, for which a signature is requested. Optional return shipping cover is extra.
- 11.8.7 Unable to verify or inconclusive: this is not a non-authentic finding and no fee applies. Luxury Reborn contributes the actual standard domestic return cost up to AUD $40. This is a contribution to the actual cost, not a credit; the seller pays any excess and selected return shipping cover.
- 11.8.8 Commercial decline: where the item matched an accurate submission and Luxury Reborn declines solely because it chooses not to proceed, no fee applies. Luxury Reborn contributes the actual standard domestic return cost up to AUD $40. This is a contribution to the actual cost, not a credit; the seller pays any excess and selected return shipping cover.
- 11.8.9 Inaccurate or incomplete submission: if important item information is inaccurate or omitted, including repairs, repainting, restoration or replacement parts, Luxury Reborn may issue an updated quote. If the seller accepts it and the item proceeds, no AUD $25 administration fee applies. If the seller rejects it, or Luxury Reborn decides not to proceed because of the inaccurate or omitted information, the seller pays the AUD $25 administration fee, any actual inbound delivery paid by Luxury Reborn, actual return delivery and selected return shipping cover.
- 11.8.10 Seller withdrawal: where the seller withdraws after sending the item, the seller pays actual return delivery and selected return shipping cover.
- 11.8.11 One narrow review: the seller may request one review within seven calendar days after Luxury Reborn sends the written result. The request must identify a clear administrative error or provide genuinely new, credible, item-specific evidence concerning the exact unchanged item. Charges are cancelled, and charges already paid are refunded through the recorded refund process, only if the original result is overturned.
11.8.12 Where a seller amount is due, Luxury Reborn provides an itemised written invoice. It is payable by bank transfer within seven calendar days, and return dispatch is arranged after cleared funds, subject always to rights and obligations that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11.8.13 For this narrow seller-cost review, a purchase receipt, warranty card, repair or service record, boutique acceptance or informal comment is not by itself an authenticity determination. Any new evidence must be verifiable, concern the exact item and match its identifiers and photographs. An inconclusive, unidentified, unsupported, expired, revoked or invalid result does not overturn the recorded outcome. This voluntary process does not make a private opinion legally conclusive or restrict rights or evidence available under Australian law.
11.8.14 These amounts recover disclosed service and delivery costs and are not a percentage-based or private counterfeit penalty. An assessment result concerns the item and is not by itself a finding that the seller acted knowingly or dishonestly. Deliberately false information, altered evidence, item substitution or intentional damage may be investigated separately under these terms and applicable law.
11.8.15 The item remains the seller’s property unless ownership otherwise lawfully transfers. Luxury Reborn does not automatically confiscate or destroy an item. Any destruction or surrender requires a separate item-specific written direction after the assessment or a lawful court, authority or statutory process. An item does not become Luxury Reborn property merely because six or twelve months have passed. An ongoing agreed Consignment, or a collection prevented by Luxury Reborn, is not treated as uncollected solely for that reason. If an item is legally uncollected, Luxury Reborn will make reasonable attempts to contact the owner and follow the applicable notice, valuation, waiting-period, sale and record-keeping requirements before disposal. Any notice will identify the item, collection arrangements, proposed action and an itemised lawful relevant charge. No automatic daily storage fee is imposed by these terms. Any storage or other charge must have a lawful basis and be reasonable where required. Only lawful relevant charges may be deducted from disposal proceeds; any remaining money is handled under applicable unclaimed-money requirements, not kept as Luxury Reborn profit. Suspected stolen or non-authentic items are not offered for resale under this procedure; an appropriate lawful return, authority or disposal process is required.
12. Consignment and Instant Payout
12.1 Care of your item and transit
12.1.1 Luxury Reborn is responsible for taking reasonable care of an item throughout the time it is in our possession, including after a sale and before dispatch or return. Where a seller arranges delivery to us, the seller is responsible for suitable packing, the booked service and any carrier-cover claim until safe receipt by Luxury Reborn. Where Luxury Reborn arranges a shipment, we manage any available claim under that booking. Who pays for cover does not remove responsibility for our own acts or omissions or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Delivery does not remove responsibility for a problem that existed before or at delivery.
12.2 Initial term and unsold items
12.2.1 Consignment arrangements have an initial 90-day term, with the actual start and end dates recorded in the signed item schedule.
12.2.2 At the end of the initial term, you may continue the listing without an additional consignment fee, request return on the shipping basis below, or ask for a fresh Instant Payout offer. Any new offer depends on the current assessment and may be lower; it is not guaranteed. Continued listing does not itself authorise a change to the agreed sale price or seller payout. Changes require agreement.
12.2.3 Seller-requested early withdrawal from active Consignment during the initial 90-day listing term costs AUD $100 per item, including standard return shipping. The complete rule, exceptions and return restrictions are in clause 12.4.3.
12.3 Seller shipping contributions
12.3.1 For Australian sellers, Luxury Reborn reimburses eligible actual standard inbound postage up to AUD $40 when an Instant Payout purchase completes or a consigned item sells. For Consignment, the reimbursement is added to the agreed seller payout. Keep your postage receipt. This is reimbursement of an actual cost, not a cash credit. The same postage cost is not reimbursed more than once.
12.3.2 If an unsold consigned item is returned after the initial term, its original inbound postage is not reimbursed. Luxury Reborn contributes the actual standard domestic return cost up to AUD $40. The seller pays any excess and selected optional cover, with those amounts confirmed before return arrangements are agreed. This contribution does not change rights or responsibilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
12.3.3 Standard return shipping included in an agreed AUD $100 early withdrawal fee under clause 12.4.3 is not charged again. For New Zealand sellers, inbound shipping and other return shipping are quoted separately. The service, actual postage cost, any Luxury Reborn contribution and the amount payable by the seller are agreed in writing before shipment. The Australian AUD $40 contribution does not automatically apply to New Zealand shipments. Luxury Reborn does not fund shipping cover for seller shipments or returns to sellers. Sellers choose and pay for any eligible cover separately. This allocation of cover costs does not remove obligations while an item is in Luxury Reborn custody or rights and responsibilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
12.4 Quotes ownership and payout
12.4.1 A written selling quote remains valid for 30 calendar days from its issue date, subject to the item matching the submission and passing final checks. Instant Payout is a direct purchase by Luxury Reborn. Payment is estimated within 24–48 hours after successful checks and final approval; bank processing may affect when funds arrive. Ownership transfers when the agreed payment clears in the nominated seller bank account, not merely when the item is delivered to Luxury Reborn. Consignment payout follows cleared buyer payment, recorded delivery and the full return-request period described below.
12.4.2 Consignment selling prices are agreed in whole Australian dollars, with no cents. Consignment is available only when the expected final sale price is at least AUD $350. For Consignment Agreements entered into or revised on or after the effective date shown above, Luxury Reborn deducts a flat AUD $150 fee when the final sale price is from AUD $350 to AUD $750 inclusive, and the seller receives the rest of the sale price. The seller receives 80% for a final sale price from AUD $751 to AUD $2,000; 85% from AUD $2,001 to AUD $4,000; and 90% from AUD $4,001 and above. The exact listed price and seller payout are recorded in the item specific signed schedule. An existing consignment remains governed by its signed item specific agreement unless Luxury Reborn and the seller agree to a written revision.
12.4.3 Consignments have an initial 90-day listing term, with the start and end dates recorded in your signed item schedule. If you request withdrawal after your item is accepted, authenticated and actively listed but before that initial term ends, an AUD $100 early withdrawal fee per item applies, including standard return shipping to you. No additional standard return postage is charged for that early withdrawal. Any optional shipping cover you choose is separate and must be agreed before booking. No early withdrawal fee applies after the initial 90-day term, if Luxury Reborn ends the consignment, or where applicable law requires a different outcome. Return after the initial term follows the seller shipping terms. An item cannot be withdrawn while an existing buyer reservation or commitment, return, payment dispute or chargeback requires it to remain available. Luxury Reborn will explain the reason for a hold and what must happen before it can be released.
12.4.4 For an eligible change of mind return, the buyer must contact Luxury Reborn and start the return request within seven calendar days after the carrier records delivery. This is a request deadline, not a deadline for the returned parcel to reach Luxury Reborn. A return requested on time keeps the seller payout on hold until the item is received back by Luxury Reborn, inspected and the return is resolved.
12.4.5 With Consignment, Luxury Reborn prepares, photographs, lists and markets your approved item, manages buyer enquiries and completes the sale on your behalf. The seven-calendar-day return-request period starts when buyer delivery is recorded. Luxury Reborn processes your agreed payout after the full period has ended, provided buyer funds have cleared and no return or payment dispute is open. An opened return pauses payout until the item is received back, assessed and the return is resolved. Luxury Reborn then agrees the next option with you, such as continued listing, return of the item or a fresh Instant Payout offer; no new price or payout is imposed without agreement.
12.4.6 Consignment pricing, timing and sale outcome are not guaranteed. Market demand, condition, seasonality, comparable sold history and buyer behaviour can affect the final result.
13. Website use and prohibited conduct
13.1 You must not misuse this website, attempt unauthorised access, scrape content at scale, interfere with checkout, submit false information, upload malicious files, impersonate another person, use stolen payment details or attempt fraud.
13.2 Luxury Reborn may take proportionate steps to restrict access, investigate or report reasonably suspected bot activity, spam, payment fraud, account misuse or seller-submission abuse. Where lawful and appropriate, we explain a restriction and allow the affected person to contact us about an error. Restrictions do not remove existing order, refund or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Cancellation remains subject to the applicable order or payment-plan rules. Nothing prevents an honest review, a good-faith complaint, contact with a regulator or obtaining legal advice.
13.3 Deliberately false information, altered evidence, item substitution or intentional damage in connection with a return or claim may be investigated as suspected fraud. This does not limit good-faith complaints, evidence supplied by a buyer or Australian Consumer Law rights.
14. Intellectual property
14.1 Luxury Reborn website content, copy, layout, images, branding, design, code and other materials are protected by intellectual property laws unless otherwise stated. You must not copy, reproduce or commercially use Luxury Reborn content without permission.
14.2 When you submit item photographs or information, you retain any rights you hold in that material. You give Luxury Reborn permission to use it as reasonably needed to assess the item, communicate with you, carry out an agreed sale and keep necessary transaction or dispute records. Separate agreement is required for unrelated public marketing use. Do not submit material you are not entitled to provide. Personal information is handled under the Privacy Policy.
15. Privacy
15.1 Luxury Reborn handles personal information in accordance with the Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy explains what information may be collected, why it is used, who it may be shared with and how privacy enquiries can be made.
15.2 Our business inbox is separate from website conversation storage. Our retention policy is to review resolved ordinary enquiries and duplicate Concierge email copies quarterly, and delete them when more than 12 months have passed since the last meaningful contact, unless they are still needed for an order, seller agreement, return, complaint, payment dispute or another lawful purpose. This is a manual review cycle, not automatic deletion on the 12-month anniversary.
15.3 Necessary transaction, consignment, tax and accounting records are kept separately for the applicable retention period under our accounting and legal record-keeping arrangements. Records relevant to an open complaint, suspected fraud, chargeback, investigation or legal hold are retained until the matter is resolved and any applicable retention period has ended. We keep the minimum information needed to honour marketing opt-outs so that deleting an enquiry does not resubscribe you.
15.4 Deleting a website conversation does not automatically delete email copies. Deleting a message from our active inbox does not by itself remove copies held by recipients or in backups. We consider relevant systems when handling a verified privacy request, subject to lawful retention requirements and practical backup-restoration limits. Personal information that is no longer needed is securely deleted or de-identified where appropriate.
15.5 When the optional Google checkout address service is enabled, its use is also subject to the Google Maps Platform Terms of Service. The postal-address fields involved and Google's privacy information are explained in the Luxury Reborn Privacy Policy.
16. Changes to these terms
16.1 Luxury Reborn may update these terms from time to time. Updates apply prospectively from the stated date. An existing order, payment plan or seller agreement remains governed by the version and item-specific terms accepted for that transaction unless a lawful change is separately agreed. Nothing in an update removes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
16.2 These master terms are read with the linked policy and any item-specific schedule or payment-plan agreement accepted for the transaction. An expressly agreed item-specific term governs that specific matter to the extent lawful; it does not remove rights that cannot be excluded. A later website edit does not rewrite an existing agreement. Agreed changes to an item price, payout or payment deadline should be recorded in writing.
17. Governing law
17.1 These terms are governed by the laws applying in Victoria, Australia, subject to any rights or protections that cannot be excluded under applicable Australian law.
18. Contact
18.1 Questions about these terms can be sent through the Contact page or by emailing admin@luxuryreborn.com.au.
Terms FAQs
Common questions about these terms
Do these terms replace Australian Consumer Law rights?
No. These terms apply alongside rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Are pre-owned luxury items unique inventory?
Yes. Many Luxury Reborn items are one-off pieces. Availability can change when an item is sold, reserved or removed from sale.
When is an order confirmed?
An ordinary paid order is accepted when the gateway payment is captured or the full bank-transfer payment has cleared, subject to lawful order checks. An unpaid bank-transfer reservation is a temporary hold, not confirmation of payment. An LR Payment Plan is accepted when its agreement is accepted and its required deposit has cleared; the remaining balance is paid under that agreement. A payment screenshot is evidence for checking, not cleared funds.
How does the Luxury Reborn Payment Plan work?
The LR Payment Plan applies to one or more eligible items when offered at checkout, limited to one unit of each product. It uses a 20% bank transfer deposit, and the product SKU or SKUs must be used as the payment description. The remaining balance is due within eight weeks, followed by a fixed two week grace period. A buyer may cancel before delivery and receive all plan payments less a termination charge limited to documented reasonable costs and capped separately for each affected item at the lesser of AUD $100 or 5% of that item’s price. An eligible change-of-mind return after delivery uses one handling and reinspection charge equal to the lesser of AUD $100 or 5% of that item’s price, instead of the standard AUD $50 charge. The pre-delivery and post-delivery charges are not combined, and the full deposit is not forfeited.
What costs apply to an approved change of mind return?
An approved voluntary change of mind refund starts with the item amount paid. For a standard purchase, Luxury Reborn deducts the fixed AUD $50 handling and reinspection charge. For an LR Payment Plan item, that charge is the lesser of AUD $100 or 5% of the item’s price. Luxury Reborn also deducts the actual cost of delivering the item to the buyer, the actual return delivery cost if Luxury Reborn pays it and the actual invoiced cost of any reassessment by an authentication service that is reasonably required and performed after the item leaves Luxury Reborn custody. If the payment provider does not return its original processing fee, only that exact amount is deducted. Luxury Reborn does not retain that amount. Direct bank transfer has no payment processing deduction. Optional shipping cover is not refunded after the covered delivery to the buyer is completed. The calculation is itemised. These deductions apply only to an approved voluntary change of mind return and do not limit rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Can I cancel a fully paid order before dispatch?
Luxury Reborn may approve a voluntary buyer cancellation before the carrier accepts the parcel. The refund is the amount paid less the fixed AUD $25 cancellation administration charge. LR Payment Plan cancellations follow their separate terms. If Luxury Reborn cancels or cannot fulfil the order, the amount paid is refunded in full and no buyer cancellation charge applies.
Does reporting “not as described” automatically make a return fee-free?
No return reason automatically determines the outcome. Reporting a concern starts an assessment against the item, archived listing and dispatch evidence. If a consumer-guarantee failure is established, the lawful remedy applies without change-of-mind deductions. If no failure is found, a voluntary return may proceed only if it remains eligible under the published change-of-mind policy.
What if the buyer damages an item after delivery?
A voluntary change-of-mind return must come back in the condition received. Buyer-caused wear, alteration, missing parts or damage can make it ineligible and the item may be returned to the buyer at their cost. Any separate consumer-guarantee concern is assessed on its facts and rights that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected.
Can Luxury Reborn cancel an order?
Luxury Reborn may cancel or refuse an order where payment cannot be verified, fraud checks fail, stock is unavailable, there is an obvious pricing or listing error, or the order cannot lawfully be completed. If Luxury Reborn cancels or cannot fulfil an ordinary order, the amount paid is refunded in full and no buyer-cancellation charge applies. Luxury Reborn may cancel a plan before delivery only if you breach the agreement, we stop trading, or the item becomes unavailable for reasons beyond our control. Choosing to withdraw an item from sale is not a reason to cancel the plan. If Luxury Reborn cancels its own payment plan or cannot supply the reserved item, all plan payments are refunded and no payment-plan termination charge applies.
Do product photographs show the exact item?
Product listings show the actual item offered for sale. Editorial guide images are for education or presentation only and are not product-listing photographs.
What happens if I believe an item is not authentic?
Contact Luxury Reborn promptly. Reporting a concern begins an assessment and does not by itself establish the outcome. If the returned item is confirmed not authentic through a reasonable assessment, you may choose a full refund of all money paid for the item. Luxury Reborn will also reimburse reasonable return delivery costs. No change-of-mind charge or deduction applies. Other rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including a replacement where reasonably available, are not limited.
Do seller quotes guarantee acceptance?
No. Seller quotes and selling options are subject to final inspection, authentication, condition review and market assessment after the item is received.
How is the first standard Consignment payout tier calculated?
Consignment is available only when the expected final sale price is at least AUD $350. Under the standard schedule for Consignment Agreements entered into or revised from the effective date shown in the current Terms and Conditions, Luxury Reborn deducts a flat AUD $150 fee when the final sale price is from AUD $350 to AUD $750 inclusive. You receive the rest of the sale price.
When is a Consignment payout processed?
With Consignment, Luxury Reborn prepares, photographs, lists and markets your approved item, manages buyer enquiries and completes the sale on your behalf.
Can a seller withdraw an item after active Consignment begins?
Consignments have an initial 90-day listing term, with the start and end dates recorded in your signed item schedule.
What seller assessment costs can apply?
If an item is assessed non-authentic, the standard fee is AUD $150 including GST, or AUD $250 including GST for all watches and selected Hermès items. The fee includes assessment, administration and standard domestic return delivery with tracking, for which a signature is requested. Optional return shipping cover is extra. Different, narrower return-cost rules apply to an inconclusive result, an accurate-submission commercial decline, an inaccurate or incomplete submission, or seller withdrawal.
