Size, structure and carrying style

When an Hermès piece is listed, compare its exact model, measurements and carrying options. Review the side, base and open-bag photographs as well as the front. Ask us about a measurement or practical fit that is not supplied instead of assuming all examples of a model are identical.

Leather and individual condition

Use the material stated on the listing and examine corners, handles, edges and hardware. Read any notes about structure, marks, repairs or restoration. The condition of an individual pre-owned piece matters more to the purchase than a broad description of the model.

Confirm the accompanying pieces

A strap, lock, keys, clochette, box or dust bag is included only when listed. For scarves, check measurements, material and close-ups of hems and labels. A date or blind stamp is one detail to consider, not proof of authenticity on its own.
